Wit and Wisdom is proud to offer O Scale 2-Rail freight trucks! The trucks are 3D-Printed by Plate C Models using resin reinforced material which is highly detailed. They are equipped with InterMountain wheelsets and nylon bearing inserts which creates a very smooth-rolling truck. The trucks track very similarly to the non-sprung InterMountain trucks.
The first trucks offered are the PRR Crown 2E-F2 Trucks! They are in stock for immediate shipment, and are available in single pairs and a three-pair pack.
These trucks were used on many classes of Pennsy freight cars, including the G36A/C/D, G38, G39, G39A, H34D, H39A, and X53A. Lambert Locomotive Works has introduced a kit for the Pennsylvania Railroad G39/G39a Ore Jenny in O Scale (seen below); the prototype was equipped with these trucks.
Our next trucks will be the ASF Vulcan 70 Ton and ASF 70 Ton Ride Control trucks. Both will be the plain bearing versions. Truck samples shown below (Ride Control on the left, and Vulcan on the right). These are expected to arrive in late January, so keep an eye out!
